Week 5 of the Garden....FIRST SQUASH PICKED!

Bryn created a netting/trellis for the peas because they were attacking eachother. This way instead of growing onto eachother they can grow up the strings!

Theses are around one week to a week and a half apart. As you can see the plants are growing so much that they are touching the ground. The big plant on the back left (winter squash) has three big "arms" that branch out two feet. It needs its own raised bed! Liam picked the first vegetable today, as you can see from the pictures it was a yellow squash. We will probably cook it up tomorrow for the 4th of july. I am loving the whole garden experience and hope you are having fun watching it GROW :0)

  1. Your garden is doing great!!! I wish I could have one, but I don't really have anywhere to put it since our backyard doesn't get a whole lot of sun.
